We will all be judged by God as to who we are attached to!

Post by Lounger »

"We will all be judged by God as to whether we attached ourselves
to bishops
who preach the truth without error or whether we find excuses to remain with
bishops who criticize (and even persecute) Orthodox teaching and practice.
You may choose to attach yourself to Communists, Sergianists, ecumenists, or
new calendarists, or those who want to 'reunite' with these, and 'fight from
within,' but since those bishops are not Orthodox in what they preach, you
are not within the Church. People forget that you are only in Christ's
Church if you are under a bishop who is Orthodox. If you need to 'fight'
against your hierarchy on basic issues, then that is a sign that you are not
in Christ's Church. The idea is to find a hierarchy that preaches the
Orthodox Faith of the Fathers--and does not add or subtract anything from
what the Fathers have accepted and rejected. That is how we can be sure that
we are in Christ's Church in this age of confusion."

Lounger,

Do you have a source for that quote, or at least who said it?

I notice that Lounger does that a lot, throw a quote out there without telling the source. It gives us the impression that either you are hiding something or immediately makes (at least me) give it no credence. Please try to just attach a name in the future.

In Christ,

Nicholas

I often just post quotes from the Orthodox lists. The names are not known people or important but the words are profound so I share them.

Those are profound words. It really makes me want to work for my salvation..but even though I may live a pious life I can still go to hell for going to the wrong bishop's church....boy God is certainly the lover of mankind isn't he? I can just feel his love. Let me ask you all this, why should I work for my salvation since there is no 'TRUE' Orthodox parish around for many, many miles? Since the cards of salvation are heavily stacked against someone in this age.

My soul is lonely dark and afraid.
