Sorry, but I am SO FAR BEHIND the times as far as internet usage goes !
What does "lore" mean ? I saw that the 1st comment to this video ALSO uses that word, otherwise I would not likely waste your time to answer.

That is REALLY FUNNY about where Fr Peter Heers and Fr Jonathan [which Fr Jonathan is this, by the way, from the OCA ?] start talking about where they met.

They disclose that they met at a - WCC COUNCIL MEETING !

TOO REVEALING, isn't it ?

That comment is my account on youtube haha.

Lore pertains to knowledge of traditions or of a mythos.
"the lore of a legendary baseball player" or "lore of sasquatch/bigfoot"

I tend to use "lore" more in context to mythos but ultimately satirically, as Fr Peter has become somewhat of a strange character online. Makes sense since there's been controversy surrounding him to building this mythology about who he is and what he stands for.

“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." -St Luke 12:32

Oh, I see, thank you ! It is your account ! Nice of you to post that.

I see now. So is it the case that the internet is divided at this stage into Fr Peter fans and Fr Peter detractors or questioners ? Maybe evenly divided ? What do you think about the proportion of each - just a guess would help to understand Fr Peter's status at the moment

Whatever the answer was - ! - I wanted to update this thread by saying that a Fr Peter Heers video popped in the margin at youtube yesterday.

He looks COMPLETELY different ! Anybody else noticed this or have a possible explanation ?

The video was posted 10 days ago by St Nicholas Orthodox Church in McKinney, Texas
Perhaps he has located there ? He was born in Dallas, after all, I guess

So !! What is the deal with Fr Peter Heers having been received into the New Calendarist Romanian Patriarchate under Met. Nicolae of Chicago ?
Just found out today.
The reception letter was sent by the above hierarch January 31, 2026.

He was supposed to have a parish in Texas but instead, as of April 2026, went instead to the San Tan Valley [never heard of it] in Arizona to be the priest for a startup parish there.

The parish, ahem, is dedicated to elder Paisius of Mt Athos and St Cleopa of Romania.

Anyone have any explanations or insights into this whole matter ?

Wasn't elder Cleopas a New Calendarist as well?

You're RIGHT ! Maybe he was ! I have seen an icon of St John Maximovich and Elder Cleopa so I assumed that the latter was a traditionalist hence an Old Calendarist.

That's interesting, then. Fr Peter Heers is shepherding a parish dedicated to TWO New Calendarists !

SHAME on Fr Peter ! He could have picked ANY wonderful recognized Saint, including St John Maximovitch and St Philaret - or two Saints - but he chose much lesser figures instead.

Speaks about his spiritual level.

P.S. I remembered that I have not one but TWO books of elder Cleopa's life. But i could barely open even one of them. I wonder if THIS is why ?
