There is also the picture of Imam Musa al-Sadr, a Shia leader tolerant towards Christians and Sunni Muslims, who advocated for all 3 religions working together against the greater evils.
He co-founded the Shia movement Amal in 1974.
On August 31, 1978, the Iranian-Lebanese Imam Musa al-Sadr mysteriously disappeared on a visit to Qaddafi in Libya.
For decades no one knew what had happened to him ; it was just late last year discovered that suspicions were right : the Libyan leader had, [perhaps out of jealousy ?], ordered the charismatic Imam to be cruelly killed.
Don't believe that Qaddafi was some kind of saint ! Many people say today that he was a great leader, did a lot for the Libyan people. But there was a very dark side to him, too.
Second, this tactic of luring enemies to one's country or a safe 3rd country under pretenses of friendship but then killing the person is an old trick."
