Now, just think about why Saudi Arabia gave the United States a base specifically in Taif.
The distance between Taif and the city of Mecca is about 95 kilometers. If you travel from Taif by car, it would barely take you an hour, and you'd arrive in Mecca.
From the Taif base, America will bomb Iran, and in response, Iran will fire missiles at that very base. Since this base is only 95 kilometers from Mecca, if the Iranian missiles are intercepted, they will fall in the city of Mecca or crash nearby in the vicinity of Mecca. When that happens, Saudi Arabia will start crying foul that Iran has fired missiles into Mecca.
Then the same Shia-Sunni war will erupt, and in all this, Pakistan might even attack Iran, with the justification being presented that Iran has fired missiles into Mecca.
Understand the point: Saudi Arabia is currently standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Jews, and they are making every possible effort to somehow twist this war in a direction where it appears that the Shia are actually targeting the holy cities of the Muslims.
