In the Star Wars prequels the queen “Padme” of some planet or other gets involved with the much younger “Anakin” who would then become the future “Darth Vader” of the original series, which is set further into the future. IIRC Padme is supposed to be something like 14 and Anakin 9 in the first prequel, although I think the relationship is in another where they're slightly older. Padme then becomes a representative in the galactic senate-thing. (I didn't quite watch the movies.)

The joke is that in the movies, she has a physical relationship with an underage boy before becoming a senator. Just like real US politicians (creepy).

Ladies, this is how men operate. Also used to be known as “church clothes, dance clothes, work clothes” but that was when work didn't mean office. (So, Formal Wear->Smart Casual->Dirty Work->Rags.) Clothes were also handed down within families. As kids grew they got the hand-me-downs from their elder siblings especially for casual wear according to the age of the item, and got new clothes only for formal wear (assuming the family could afford it).

There's no need to waste. P.S. even old rags were recycled back in the day. Impoverished old & infirm “rag pickers” went door to door collecting unwanted rags, which were processed for the remaining use of the fibres. You could also use rags yourself for applications such as firestarters. (*Char cloth is made by burning natural cloth in an oxygen deficit, such as putting a nearly sealed tin of rags into a fire. It's charcoal with a large surface area and hence ignites relatively easily with simple tools like flint and steel. Oil-soaked rags should not need explanation.)
