Prayer Requests

Post by Seraphim Reeves »

  • Please pray for my grandmother. My parents just got back from Peru (to visit her), and she is very ill (though since they went down there she is finally getting proper medical treatment), and quite advanced in years. Please pray for her health, but more so for her soul. The latter situation is made even more troublesome for me, since I've found out that the aunt who has taken it upon herself to care for my grandmother is part of some cult, as is the rest of her family. They wouldn't even let my RC parents leave a crucifix with my grandmother in their house, and their children are misbehaved fanatics (don't go to school, and all that this tends to entail regarding the use of their time.) I think they're part of one of these fringe, whacko, neo-arian groups, but I don't know the details - suffice it to say, my father refused to enter their house when they had ring leaders from their blasphemous little cult over, and I know this is weighing upon him a lot. My grandmother's name is Concepcion. If there is only one thing you do for me in your generosity, please pray for her.

  • I also beg prayers on behalf of my wife. She has a lot of baggage from her past (mainly her childhood) which causes both of us grief in our marriage. She suffers from bi-polar disorder and depression. She is antagonistic towards converting, though I know this is for reasons quite apart from the substance of the faith itself (and in large part, due to my own sins, Lord have mercy!). Please pray that she will join me on my spiritual trek, and become soft-hearted towards God - overlooking the sins of others, in particular of her sinful husband. Her name is Alicia.

  • Please also pray that all goes well with my wife's immigration case. We're in the process of going through this right now, and it's difficult for us, due to our modest finances. I couldn't do this without the help of my beloved mother and father (Margaret and Victor), who have been of great assistance to us. She is immigrating from the United States to Canada.

  • Please pray also for the conversion of my parents (Margaret and Victor), brother (Andrew) and my best friends Steven and Brandon.

I know that's quite a lot, but those are the key areas afflicting us on the table. I would kindly ask you pray for my perseverance as well. I'm current receiving instruction towards the end of being baptized (date has yet to be set by Vladyka). Lord have mercy, and thank-you for any spiritual assitance you may be able to provide. May God bless you, and know that I'm now making a regular habit now of writing down prayer requests from this forum, so that I'll be able to properly plea for them during my daily prayer rule.

Sincerely,

Timothy (aka. "Seraphim")
