Pope Francis has died

Post by eish »

The death of Pope Francis has been announced. The poor man; I don't have much to say on account of his heresies but may the Lord have such mercy as He knows how.

I guess this is now the part where we get a conservative again to slightly deemphasise* the most extreme parts of the liberal march through Roman Catholicism. If I were a betting man I'd say this will involve throwing traditionalism a bone by joining more closely to World Orthodoxy. Maybe he'd even want to make the new union official (which WO hierarchs may or may not want to commit to, but conservative RC's probably would love it).

*While rolling back nothing of great substance. As in state politics, so in religious politics. Liberals and conservatives alternately taking turns in moving “progress” forward and consolidating the gains made by “progress,” respectively.

GOOD Observation, eish !
That's just how it is, it seems.

I also figure there will be a retrenchment, but like you say, not significant enough to make a real dent in all the destruction of the Catholic Church since the Vatican II Council.

All the goopy praise from worldly figures from o bama to Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister, ring SO FALSE !

Whoever is extending emotional eulogies for this disaster of a Pope -- we can be SURE that they are on the same general wavelength as he was : liberal agenda, empty in the soul, globalistic-minded, and a tool of NOT-good forces.
