I have read many of the things they have to say, and for the most part, their arguments are built on half-truths and mental gymnastics. It does not matter how many years they have been in the ROCOR.

Interesting quote from Prot. Alexander Lebedeff, who as one that calls the MP the Mother Church, but calls the OCA schismatic, has a lot of detractors:

The North American Metropolia (the precursor of the OCA) was an integral part of the ROCOR from 1920...-...1946.

In 1946, it declared that it "ceased ecclesiastical subjugation to the ROCOR."

The ROCOR considers the Metropolia to be a group in schism from the ROCOR because of these facts.

The ROCOR therefore, resoundingly opposed the Autocephaly the OCA received from the MP in 1970.

Also, the Autocephaly was received when the MP was under total subjugation by the Soviet atheistic government, in the darkest Brezhnev times--so that this act by the MP was one that was done when it was controlled by the KGB.
