The XVI Church Music Conference is scheduled for 8-12 October in Montreal, Canada.
This conference is of interest to church musicians, including choir singers and other interested people of all levels. The program includes lectures, workshops and rehearsals, culminating in the All-Night Vigil on Saturday, and the Divine Liturgy on Sunday. The conference will be conducted in English, and the services will be in Slavonic and English.

Sunday, 31 August, the feast day of SS. Florus and Laurus, is the namesday of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus. All clergymen and faithful of the Russian Church are invited on this day to lift their prayers for the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

Tuesday, 23 September, marks the third anniversary of the repose of Archbishop Anthony of San Francisco and Western America of blessed memory, who authoried the services to the Holy New Martyrs of Russia and St. John of Shanghai.
On 9 September, Nun Elizabeth of Lesna Convent in France reposed in the Lord while in a hospital in London. The monastic burial is scheduled for Lesna on 18 September. Eternal memory!
