Another news story about wild cats roaming in Southern California.

Is this a leopard, a mountain lion, an African Lion, or Superman?

A five year old Colorado boy was attacked by a mountain lion while playing outside in broad daylight.

Two mountain lions found in the area were killed.

Where we live, there are deer nearby, and of course, mountain lions prey on the deer as their favorite food source.

Be careful, you and Xenios ! Are there lots of deer, like an out of control deer population in your hills ? I think you said you are up in the hills. Some parts of California, like Marin County, have quite a problem with deer roaming everywhere.

They can cause car accidents by leaping out into the road. I recommend highly those 'deer warnings' sold in auto parts stores. These are 2 devices affixed to the front of your vehicle in a certain order and at an angle which will alert the deer to jump away rather than into oncoming traffic.

I haven't heard of any 'cougar warning devices'. But they might be a helpful invention. It seems strange that these incidents are occurring in this day and age with all the so-called 'advanced technology'.
