US media can't write Orthodox Christians without mispelling

Post by Barbara »

In a story just out, ABC news titles it "Orthodox Christian's Spiritual Seat Issues Calls for Unity"

Reading the first 2 words only, I expected a tale of a unique experience of ONE Orthodox person and clicked on the link.
I found this summary of the runup to the Crete Council.

One would think an AP [ Associated Press ] writer and ABC News would be able to punctuate correctly in the all-important headline which is always geared to draw in the maximum number of readers.
The article's title should read "Orthodox Christians' Spiritual Seat...">

Of course, there is no mention of any debate on the subject of whether the EP deserves the title given it [ by the EP itself ]. Nor any hint of dissension by the True Orthodox, though that could hardly be expected in a general article like this.
