It seems that the W.O. may be using Elder Porphyrios (a "clairvoyant holy elder" who was also a staunch opponent of the Genuine Orthodox Church) as a posterboy for their ecumenistic agenda. Anyone out there think I am misreading it? Please tell me. In any case, Check it out here...

According to the GOC-K, Elder Porphyrios and Elder Paisios, are being used by the Ecumenists to confuse the True Orthodox. See the HOTCA site for their condemnation of these pseudo-saints who have promoted the works of the EP.

Elder Paisios was with the GOC (the same Synod to which I belong), but he left our monastery without permission and went with the EP.

Porphyrios is a false "Elder" and in no way a Saint. He was a banned Neocalendariste.

Was Elder Porphyrios originally with the GOC?

I don't know, but I doubt it. I cannot find any references that show him to have ever sided with the True Orthodox on the observance of the Church Calendar and the rejection of the Pope's Roman Catholic calendar, or on anything else.

Here are examples of their propaganda to convince the Orthodox who would otherwise escape their clutches dragging them to be in communion with heretics:

Four Recently Canonized 'New Holy Mountain' Elders of Ecumenist Pseudo-Traditionalism:

All of these men, the so-called, "New Choir Of Athonite Fathers" (Joseph The Hesychast, Ephraim Of Katounakia, Porphyrios Of Athens, Paisios The Athonite) taught that ecumenism was a betrayal of Orthodoxy and that it was forced upon the Orthodox by secretly free-mason bishops, but what their actions teach the faithful are these principles of ecumenism: that HERESY DOES NOT DRIVE OUT GRACE -- in other words, ecumenism is not a heresy according to the patristic definition, and so neither do anathemas and the loss of grace result as a consequence; and these men by their actions also teach another principle of Ecumenism: that UNITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN TRUTH, or, UNITY IS TRUTH, because there are no heresies, only "differences".

This next "Icon" is also deceptive for the same reason:

New Choir Of Athonite Fathers: Joseph The Hesychast, Ephraim Of Katounakia, Porphyrios Of Athens, Paisios The Athonite

Justin Popovitch Nikolai Velimirovitch and Saint Mark of Ephesus Contradiction Icon.jpg (54.77 KiB) Viewed 3265 times

Justin Popovitch and Nikolai Velimirovitch both were honestly mistaken despite their great efforts in the spiritual life and high degree of learning; mistaken, in the notion that communion with heretical hierarchs who recognize Papists and Protestants as having genuine baptism and praying with them as brothers does not drive out grace. That Saint Mark of Ephesus is pictured with them as though they are all of one mind and action is patently false and a gross distortion of the facts. St Mark of Ephesus would not have even prayed with either of these two men if only because they maintained communion with the Latin-Minded as St Mark called those whom he forbade to even attend his funeral. This is a Contradiction Icon.

So, again, the message is, communion with heretics does not drive out grace as long as one is maintaining the UNITY of the Church, which absolves the crime against dogma and the Holy Canons. The Preservation of Unity forgives ALL. LOVE forgives ALL. GOD is LOVE. ECUMENISM is LOVE. These Two. That is the heretical message of Pseudo-Traditionalists like all these new "saints" of the World Orthodox. They convince the conscientious to sin against their own consciences and not heed the Fathers, nor the Sacred Canons which are there to guide the undiscerning and unlearned (which means all of us in the Last Days), nor to heed the clear judgements and warnings of the holy councils of local Orthodox Churches for the past 500 years.
