Kim Davis was jailed ?? I saw the headline about her refusal to do something regarding marriage licenses, so I figured it
had to be this. Thanks for bringing it up here.
Cyprian's right : perhaps "they" are trying to drum up such a big case against Kim Davis that all the others who wish to act the same way will be stopped.
I did catch a sentence from the mainstream media which trailed off. It seemed to say "She is just one. Don't anyone else try this stunt".
Surely, as Cyprian said, there are plenty more out there. Hundreds of thousands if not millions.
The media wants to downplay the strength of opposition to anything to do with their cheerleading for homosexuals.
A little different but something to consider is that I was remembering a case of a woman who was trying to have a relationship with a guy. He did not admit to her anything about being secretly interested in participating in some awful homosexual situation. He made it sound like she was going to be his wife for life. Then she found out some way that he was simultaneously involved in some drastically filthy online sites to try to 'meet' a man. Furious, she kicked him out and tried to think what to do to serve him right. She went to her local newspaper. What did the woman journalist say ? Something like "Well it's wonderful he is experimenting !! We should do a story about THAT."
Almost too incredible to fathom. But that is the media EVEN AT the lowest rungs of small towns.
As for the Muslim woman suspended for not serving alcohol, good for her ! I hope she will be reinstated soon.
I didn't see the actual story, but that is ridiculous to make someone do something which is against one of the major beliefs of their religion, assuming it isn't some crackpot fringe group.
The young woman who sued Banana Republic for passing her up to be hired due to her hijab did win that case by a Supreme Court decision. I was glad for that. Wouldn't anyone want modesty to be protected for any women, including Orthodox nuns ?
