US Marine seriously injured in France terrorist attack

Three people were injured, two seriously. One U.S. Marine is in critical condition with an apparent gun shot to the neck. A French actor suffered a light injury to his hand.

A group of unarmed US Marines on board a high-speed train between Amsterdam and Paris foiled a terrorist attack after a gunman opened fire with an assault rifle, wounding three people.

The 26-year-old Moroccan national, who was known to security services, came out of the toilet brandishing the gun and opened fire. Fortunately, two US Marines were nearby and overpowered him before he could massacre passengers.

A slaughter seems to have been prevented. With 9 loaders of AK-47 he could have killed many people in the train.

French media said the passengers who overpowered the suspect were US Marines who had heard the man loading a weapon in a toilet cubicle and confronted him when he came out.

Those highly trained US Marines recognized a dangerous sound. Thank goodness for their presence and their willingness to risk their own lives to save hundreds because that terrorist had at least 300 rounds of ammunition according to another report.

News media had it all wrong. No US Marines were involved. Apparently, when the armed forces are involved, to the French, everyone is a US Marine.

The heroes were:

• 1. An individual who is in the Air Force, identified as Spencer Stone.

  1. Another man who is on active duty in the Oregon National Guard identified as Alek Skarlatos
  2. And a third US citizen who is a senior at California State in Sacramento identified as Anthony Sadler .
  3. In addition, there was British IT consultant Chris Norman who helped to subdue the terrorist.

Spencer Stone was repeatedly stabbed, hospitalized for treatment, and released in good condition.

All four are being honored as heroes.

The whole affair smells as if it was staged, just like the fake Charlie Hebdo psy-op. I don't regard these actors as heroes.

I agree ! Very likely, it was all set up in advance. How did some Moroccan kid armed so heavily get in through all the lines of checking to the subway and even into France ? There was collusion for sure. I ignored the story for that very reason. I could see a fraud a long way away. I felt it was set up to make Americans recover their LONG-flagging popularity amongst the French.
From Charles de Gaulle and before, the French have had a dim view of Americans. In recent decades, I would guess that dislike hit an all time high. So I sense this event was concocted to make Americans suddenly look great.
But the French are not stupid ; they probably see through at least some of this.

Likewise, how could the French govt possibly know this as yet unnamed kid had been to Syria and back ?? It's all a lie.
People don't walk into Syria. They never did. He was obviously with some of the units-in-training there, trained by whom ?
We all know the answer.

It's just another in the long, long line of these incidents always framed with a purpose. Americans are at an all time low all over the world in fact in terms of credibility. No one likes this country any more. So France was chosen because it's the most anti-American country in Europe traditionally. Remember that France opted out of NATO, which really says a lot, during the Cold War era.
