First, it was announced that this OCA small monastery, tended at one time by Fr Anastassy [Newcombe] who afterward sensibly transferred to Rocor, was to be demolished :
"An anonymous developer wants to tear down the remnants of an old monastery in Inverness Park to build six new structures, totaling 8,300 square feet of building area. The 17-acre parcel near the start of Drakes Summit had been the home of St. Eugene’s Hermitage, a Christian community that lived in cramped cottages, made candles and whispered prayers in a small, white chapel, since 1951. The monks departed in 2006 after repeated attempts to expand provoked neighbors’ ire, leaving the property unoccupied and littered with fir needles..."

The mystery buyers are revealed from an email sent out ironically on the Feast of Holy Protection last year in this updated short article :
" In an email sent to neighbors almost a year ago, on Oct. 14, 2013, as we “begin the process of building our home in your lovely neck of the woods,” the property owners—now obscured behind a limited liability company—introduced themselves to their neighbors as Tim Westergren, a co-founder of Pandora Radio, and Smita Singh, a founding director of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s Global Development Program and a governing board member of multiple nonprofits like Oxfam America. “Our program will be light on the land, and will be sustainably ...."
