Church of Sinai Video?

My former GOAA priest told me an interesting story,

Apparently a while ago some priests who were Old Calendarists paid a visit to the Church of Sinai. They did not disclose themselves as Old Calendarists, but simply asked for permission to celebrate a liturgy in one of their cave-cells or cave chapels. Permission was granted, and they video taped it. They then used it as an occasion to name Drop on the Church of Sinai and claim even the ancient Church of Sinai supports them in their cause.

Now, I related this story to a wise older gentleman formerly of ROCOR for 30 years and now part of the GOC(K). He said that it was actually NEW CALENDARISTS that did this because the Church of Sinai has an unofficial "policy" to not commune with New Calendarists. It makes more sense, and I was wondering if anyone could comment on this? Did this in fact happen, what is the deal here?

This post prompted me to look online for information regarding Pope John Paul II's visit to Sinai, wondering what sort of ecumenist atrocity occurred. To my surprise, although they were appropriately polite to John Paul, Archbishop Damianos refused to pray with him. See the article at:

Reported in the New York Times ? That's amazing to see !

Has anyone found out more about that video ? Has it been seen online already ? I wasn't clear
about that.

As a footnote, this type of trick exposed by the former Rocor gentleman of good sense sounds
like it could be copied all over the place. We have to beware and question the origin of
any type of video used as a claim.
