It is not the drills that are of concern, but the fact that sometimes immediately following a drill, there is some nutcase who does a copycat of the drill. People have been killed. So, whenever they do these drills, I stay home.

Just following that staged event, a real shooting took place. A guard who took part in both the staged event and the real event, at first thought that the real event was only a rehearsal. That was reported in the main media at first. It might have been retracted. With all these initial reports and then retractions, it is difficult to trust news sources or even governmental sources. Stories keep changing. Who is telling the truth?

Anyway, there is the danger that guards may not realize the difference between a staged event and a real life-threatening event, and may place themselves in danger. That same guard said that the shooter followed the same plan almost exactly, so the guard just followed the original drill. How did the shooter know the drill? Also, since the shooter was killed, will we ever get to the bottom of all this? I highly doubt it.
