The True Orthodox Christians in Serbia have long known of the podvig and confession of the great fighter for the patristic teachings, St. Glicherie of Slătioara, and prayerfully respect him with love. The idea of the Serbian TOC drawing closer to the Romanian TOC is not recent, especially as it is known that the Romanian TOC has an identical confession of faith with our Serbian TOC.
The only stumbling-block which for years has kept at us at a distance has been their communion with the Greek Old Calendar Synod, “The Synod in Resistance,” the so-called Cyprianites who hold to the erroneous teaching that the official ecumenist and new calendar Churches of World Orthodoxy have grace-bearing Holy Mysteries. Recent discoveries have shown that our Romanian brothers do not support the problematic teaching of the Cyprianites and that an initiative exists to re-investigate their communion with the “Synod in Resistance.”
