Persecution against ROAC parish in Saint Petersburg

Post by Jean-Serge »

It seems that there have been recently persecution against the ROAC parish in Saint Petersburg. As far as I unterstand, on August 16th, paintings were made on the exterior walls. It seems these were not the first paintings, because in July some were made with the words "Be careful, sect" in Russian. The two pictures were taken from Facebook :

On August 16th, it seems that some people made an unfriendly visit to the church for I don't know why since it is in Russian. But the visitors, that may be the authors of the paintings videotaped their visit. As faras I understand, these persons present themselves as hunters of sects... The persons seemed to have removed the panel indicatings the churches.

Frightening !

Is that how one spells "Asta rozhna" ?
I always thought it was like THAT.

Now I see - in a most unpleasant manner - the actual spelling.

[They always sat that on the Metro after the name of the station and right before opening the car doors.
So, the word is very familiar to me. But I only
HEARD it on the recorded announcement. Never saw it til now, so many years later.
Actually, I saw it in my mind like the Spanish "Hasta La Vista" :
Hasta Rozhna.]

I don't quite understand; are they telling the"sect" to be careful? Is it a threat?

I think they are telling people to be careful because it is not an orthodox church but a sect... In the video, they say :

Hooligans, representing themselves as "helpers of Putin" (a vigilante group) tear down and steal signs of our ROAC Church in St. Petersburg. The reader answers the door and is subjected to an interrogation by the leader of this group. The lead hooligan asserts that the ROAC has no right to call itself Russian Orthodox, to sell icons and collect donations.

The leader is aggressive and could fit the profile of a KGB agent. The group's behavior is reminiscent of that of the Red Guard during the time of the Cultural Revolution in China.

The leader asks about the price for a 40 day service for the deceased. The reader replies that there is no price, and that any donation is up to the ability of the person ordering the memorial to pay (as is standard practice in the ROAC). Then a member of the hooligan group claims that he had been there two weeks before and that the same reader had told him that the price was 3,000 Rubles ($90).

Lord have mercy. May Christ our God help our brothers and sisters in Russia to be strong and not be angry and vengeful but show superior love and peace of heart in all their facing of ungodly soviet pseudodox thugs.

What is so disturbing though, more than that is this:

I understand that these Soviet Pseudodox were raised in that brainwashed pro-MP atmosphere and may be forgiven. What, though, of Archimandrite Luke of Jordanville? What about Fr. Alexei Young?, What of the many, many others in the co-opted Amerikanskii MP-ROCOR who having once written volumes against the hypocrisy of the MP-Soviets like Agent Drozdov (Patriarch Alexei), and the false love and faith of the Ecumenist Judases in World Orthododxy, and show how they have understood the Truth Fully in a Free Nation where NOBODY pressures or threatens them to believe anything other than the Truth, have yet now capitulated to copulate with the Antichrist PseudoChurch? What will they answer to Christ, when twenty-five years ago, they all were busily exposing the crimes of the soviet MP thugs who were beating our clergy and faithful in Soviet Union and confiscating their church property and arresting them on false charges, but now they are SILENT! Or worse, they join their voice to the condemnation of the TOC in Russia. What has changed? Is it that the ROAC is sectarian, schismatic, false? NO, it is that they who have joined themselves to the MP have lost their minds, sullied and seared their consciences, and hardened their hearts against the Truth and the heroic stance of those who have not ceased to fight the good fight against the godless atheists. God have mercy on the ROCOR-MPs in AmeriKa who do nothing to voice their shock and abhorrence at such crimes. I say this: if they tolerate what happens now in Suzdal, Petersburg and other places in Russia, they will tolerate it when it happens to us here in North America. If they don't care about religious freedom of expression and association, and the right to own property and confess conscientiously one's faith in Russia, neither will they care about such basic human rights here. If you are silent about this kind of thing going on now in Russia, you MP-ROCOR members, you are condemned with the unjust that the Lord Himself will judge when he returns. Flee this hypocrisy now! If you will not snap out of your doped up stupor and leave the MP communion, and join yourself to the True Orthodox Church, at least wash your hands of this crime and speak up and voice your protests to your bishops and priests until they are forced to say something about this and condemn it. Otherwise you will be dragged away with those who persecuted the Lord's Body.

Jean-Serge, that's what I understood from "reading the writing on the wall".
I hope by exposing this - YES - Red Guard-like activity in the 60s in China -
that this vigilante group will be forced to stay WAY away and
find a good gym or something to burn off their excess anger ...!

What a rousing call to wake up you gave, Icxypion !
I am happy to see that.
Seems like a lot of people, even HERE, are not that keen to highlight what's going
on in Captive Rocor MP.

I pay attention, because I hope that they will turn back their course and slowly slide away from
The Cobra's grasp !

It's true : where is fr Alexander Lebedeff, author of that - vanished - book on history of Rocor
and the Emigre Church's raison d'etre : combating Communism and the "Red Church" of Moscow's Soviet organization billed as a Patriarchate.

Maybe fliers should be sent out to each Rocor MP parish to wake them up, showing these pictures.

"Hasta Rozhna !
Today in Russian Federation ;
tomorrow the hounds will be baying at the door of YOUR American Rocor MP Parish !"
