I just heard a report on the radio that Obama had asked for permission to visit Mt. Athos. He was denied.
The report was in Greek but a translation indicates that he was refused because it would not please the Theotokos to have a muslim in her garden! Ouch!
Has anyone heard anything about this? I'm thinking it may be a joke.
Probably just a hoax. ...but who knows. Greeks are royally upset right now, and they probably blame the USA's prez for their financial fix, be it a fair place to lay blame or not.
