HOCNA-GOC AB Makarios intercommunion in Spring 2013

Today, I visited the laity-run website of GOC under AB Makarios and discovered that among the updates are three Epistles or letters of Ecumenical Patriarch Germanos V concerning "Name-Worshippers."

• Following an invitation by the bishops of HOCNA, His Beatitude Archbishop k.k. Makarios is visiting the United States and Canada. The purpose of his visit is for discussions concerning the intercommunion of our Sacred Synod with all the bishops of HOCNA in a God-pleasing manner.
  Official Statements concerning the final outcome of these meetings will be released in the future by our Sacred Synod.

No Synodal statement has been released about AB Makarios' visit to the USA and his Divine Liturgy concelebrations with HOCNA. AB Makarios' agreement with HOCNA does seem to be unilateral and not blessed by the GOC-AB Makarios Synod.

I've moved this thread to the private forum after much consideration. The matter is difficult since it concerns the relationship between one jurisdiction we now believe to be outside True Orthodoxy, namely HOCNA, and another whose status in True Orthodoxy is uncertain, namely GOC-Makarios. I get the feeling that the Synod of Metr. Macarios is totally unaware (or wilfully disregarding) the heresy of the HOCNA synod, namely that of Name-Worshipping. I have carefully read both written letters of defence of Bp Ephraim of Boston and those of clergy and concerned laymen in HOCNA that questioned him. It is very clear to me that Bp Ephraim is truly a Name-Worshipper in the classification condemned in three synodal declarations (twice by the Russian Church and once by the Greek Church). They need our prayers and love. May God save them from this temptation and deception of the enemy.

Since HOCNA has now joined with Makarios Synod and both support Name-Worshiping, this topic has been moved back into World Orthodox, Name-Worshiping and Vagante Jurisdictions.
