Ethics of using human stem cells in animals

Post by Maria »

Have any of you read this article:

http://www.scientificamerican.com/artic ... D_20130805

  • The mice benefited from human stem cells called glial progenitors, immature cells poised to become astrocytes and other glia cells, the supposed support cells of the brain.

These human stem cells were implanted into the brains of newborn mice. How many other animals have had their brains enhanced with human stem cells? We have some scientists without any ethical considerations running amuck. If these animals are accidentally released into the wild, there could be dire consequences.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
