Most likely he will find some other beautiful but not too bright 25 year old woman from an impoverished backwater town, stay with her for five years, divorce, and then repeat this again. It's quite a shame that this had to happen. Rulers should set moral standards for their subjects.

I agree that it is most sad in general. I was merely trying to map out his strategy in doing this deed.
Surely he would never have agreed to the divorce if he did not already have some plan in mind.
Why do you think that he would pick an impoverished girl from the provinces ? That rings true as a distinct possibility.
Would that be so that he could direct her in everything and dominate the marriage 100% ?
Whereas, IF he chose a successful woman in some capacity, she might be too uppity. Which Putin would surely not
abide. I am speculating.

Believe me; corrupted powerful old men don't like an intelligent and/or firm woman at all. They want someone they could dominate and who will do whatever they say. I imagine that's why so many old rich men (I'm looking at YOU Rush Limbaugh!) go to third-world countries searching for brides, because a less-educated and less wealthy woman is probably more likely to be at their mercy and submit to them.
