But certainly they are against the heresy, just as the Russian Church has been since its inception? I understand being cautious about entering into a difficult argument, but it can be dangerous to be too cautious. In the meanwhile people might think the RTOC accepts the heresy, or some variant of it.

I don't think most knowledgeable people would imagine such a thing, that RTOC accept any of the heresy.
Of course, you are right that where there is room for ambiguity , then trouble=makers can seize upon that Achilles heel
and attempt to up a conflict where no basis exists.

However, all our TOCs are so badly pressed with immediate concerns and of course as you must know painfully well since
you are in ROAC, the severe pressure of authorities against our very existence and/or thriving that it make it tough to
take time out for things that CAN, if absolutely necessary, wait a little longer.

We all learn the hard way that it is best to carefully ponder before making a pronouncement or any statement. Maybe it's difficult
for the RTOC hierarchy to find time or energy for the full deliberation needed.
