Maybe some of us have better things to do with our time than try to deconstruct every news report. Some of us, shocking though it seem, have families and jobs and such. Therefore, when confronted with reports like this, we have to decide quickly whether to believe it or not, without spending lots of time analyzing each photograph and quotation. Here are the criteria I use:

  • Does it contradict my faith to believe that a bomb just blew up at a marathon? No.
  • Do I have reason to believe the people reporting these events are liars? No.

Two simple questions, the answers to which show that I have no good reason to doubt the reports. Now, if it were my job to look into it more deeply, e.g. if I were one of the detectives, or a juror at the trial of the suspect, then I would certainly have to do more. But at this stage the best course of action is to give the media the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Wait, you believe that this whole Boston Marathon Massacre was staged?

I am speechless ...

I agree.
Even if I could wrap my head around this being a false-flag event, to suggest that these horrific injuries are fake and that innocent people have not lost life and limb is obscene.

Wow, you knew I was unemployed, amazing. Not that I don't have a family and things to do, I was up till 4 am analyzing that material because other people in my life are prone to televisual emotional manipulation and rely on me to explain the various reasons why they don't have to believe in so much of what everyone else does. That's why we need to understand heresy, evolution, humanism, no? I hope we all make time for that. If the fact that those things are pumped out 24/7 by the media doesn't give you a reason to doubt everything else they present and consider that sometimes they might just outright lie, you should really think things through a bit more.

Perhaps it was my post that contradicted your faith? It was full of reasons, based on sound deductive reasoning and forensic analysis, to assume someone is lying, but it's really up to you and it wasn't meant to change your mind, it was to encourage those who might be put off by your superior and dismissive attitude. If you think it's not worth discussing, simply don't view the thread perhaps? You admit you haven't analysed the imagery so why should we consider your opinion at all?

I'm sorry my point of view appears obscene and renders others speechless. I forget what it's like to be confronted by an unpopular idea, it's been such a long time since I realized they are usually the best starting point in understanding the world as it is presented by the 3 or so mason infested mega media corporations that manage the status quo.

Anyway, I posted my notes for the benefit of readers who are interested in asking questions, hopefully they can get past the ridicule, intimidation and moral outrage to join me in doing so.

I might sound very rude, but consider the reactions to my post and you will see that it is sometimes necessary to be somewhat pointed in a discussion like this in order to get past the obfuscation and emotional pleading so some actual rational investigation can take place.

Forgive me God and everyone else.

I don't want to try and sound like a referee, but this is my response:

Jonathan, you do have a habit of ridiculing anything that is outside the status quo, even when posted by a newbie. Not very appropriate in my opinion. Ridicule can be fine I think if we know each other well, and it is sure to be taken as friends making a point whilst elbowing us in the ribs for fun and good humour. But it is clear that our Newbie has been a little miffed, and maybe rightly so.

On the other hand, that Maria and Lydia were shocked, for this they cannot be faulted. It is their natural reaction to your suggestion Silverbeam.

While, if what you say is clearly demonstrated in the camera footage then you might have some support for your theory. Personally I do not think such an operation impossible from either a technical point of view, or from a political one is impossible. The Government cannot be trusted, is an idea built into the checks and balances of the US political structure and constitution and bill or rights. However, I am not ready to jump on the band wagon against what is for many a favourite whipping boy, the Media and Gouvernement, just yet.

One weak point is that several times you say that people who have had their limbs blown off are not grimacing in agony enough. Have you not ever seen anyone in shock from such severe injuries? They do not usually grimace when their arms and legs are blown off. They are either unconscious, or they have lost feeling altogether. We should not expect them to feel great excruciating pain. So, here you are definitely in error. Just look at the plenty of footage of middle eastern palestinian etc attacks and you will see the victims are largely unconcious or simply delirious with shock. So on that point your argument fails.

Sorry to imply that you were unemployed. My real point is: why would we even bother to entertain the hypothesis that this was staged? What do we get out of it, theologically speaking? If someone in the media argues for abortion or homosexual marriage or banning public prayers, then I think we should definitely critique their arguments, since these are obviously against our faith. I really don't see how the story of the Boston marathon bombing is against our faith. What do we get out of it if we prove it was fake, other than offending and scandalizing the victims? I believe many in the media are foolish and wrong-headed, and I believe they sometimes even lie (take the liberal excuses for not covering the Gosnell trial), but I really can't see how the Boston bombing fits into that. It's one of those things that just happens, that's tragic, and that doesn't need to be put down to liberal media bias.

When 9/11 happened, Metropolitan Pavlos prayed for the victims and for the safety of the country. It would have been completely inappropriate to start indulging in conspiracy theories.

But I do agree that I was too dismissive and I apologize for coming across as superior. You may well be right this was staged, but it seems to rest on lots of questionable assumptions about what we would expect to see. For example, Symeon pointed out that we don't necessarily expect to see people writhing in agony, if they were in shock.

I guess if you really think it's worthwhile to pursue this hypothesis, go ahead if you think that's the best way to spend your day.

Current News: Authorities circulate photos of two persons of interest in the BMM:

  • In the photos being distributed by law-enforcement officials among themselves, one of the men is carrying a blue duffel bag. The other is wearing a black backpack in the first photo, taken at 10:53 a.m., but it is not visible in the second, taken at 12:30 p.m.

“The attached photos are being circulated in an attempt to identify the individuals highlighted therein,” said an e-mail obtained by The Post. “Feel free to pass this around to any of your fellow agents elsewhere.”

CNN is at fault for jumping the gun and circulating rumors that a suspect was arrested yesterday.
FBI said that no suspects have been arrested yet.

DISCLAIMER: the photo above is not the one released by the FBI. The man in blue is innocent per the FBI.

Another hysterical CNN story. Notice how they are speculating and inventing news claiming that extreme right-wing individuals are probably responsible?

Well, now the news is out. The two persons of interest are not lily-white conservative well-behaved and moral Americans.

Furthermore, no extreme right-winger (Neo-Nazi types) have ever used pressure cooker bombs.
And we Orthodox Christians are not Neo-Nazi types as the Nazis also killed us during WWII.

The news below is brought to you from Communist Network News (CNN). Consider the source.

  • In this case, the formula seems very similar to one that al Qaeda has recommended to its supporters around the world as both crudely effective and difficult to trace. But it is also a recipe that has been adopted by extreme right-wing individuals in the United States.

The threat of the "lone wolf" alarms the intelligence community.

"This is what you worry about the most," a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN's Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger.
