One of the three devices that was to be used in an attempted bomb attack in Times Square in 2010 was a pressure cooker. Earlier that year, terrorists used a pressure cooker bomb in an attack in Pakistan. And in 2006, more than 130 people were killed on the transit system of Mumbai, India, when pressure cookers loaded with explosives were placed on trains.

Three people have died and over 176 were injured.
The Saudi National student is no longer a suspect. Police searched his apartment last night in Revere and apparently found nothing incriminating. However, they are asking for pictures taken by cell phones to help identify any suspects. Additionally, police have ruled out the fire at the JFK Library as it was due to an electrical short, not a bomb. In the panic that followed this terrorist attack, the so-called two to three suspicious devices that were initially discovered were also ruled out.
