This was my dear friend Basil (Vasili) before he became a monk. He was a great encouragement to me while I was living at the monastery in Serbia. We often talked about his possible vocation and he took great care in making his decision. Praise God! He speaks excellent English. He could indeed become of higher rank if God wills. He is a serious sort of fellow, with a good sense of humour. Axios!
