Awesome Aurora for St. Pat's Day

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

Yes, the ecclesiastical day will be March 30, but it is very interesting how the politically correct day of March 17 had this beautiful green aurora.

I wonder what the sky on March 30 will be like.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

What's "politically correct" about March 17? I didn't realize it was devoted to left-wing causes (except maybe Irish republicanism).

March 17 certainly is a day for Orthodox Saints, anyway. Maybe the Aurora was meant for THEM !

It is beautiful.

Was this visible from any certain countries, I wonder ?
Or from all over the world ?

Spectacular. A blessing for the Day of the Russian Saints, no doubt at all.

The auroras were seen as far south as Oregon and Colorado. Parts of Northern California had views of these spectacular auroras too.

Did you hear the joke about Irish Republicanism?

A member of the IRA went to confession and stated, "Father I have blown up some trains."
The Catholic priest replied, "For your penance, do the stations."

*Stations can either refer to a Roman Catholic holy service called "The Stations of the Cross" or to the railroad stations.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
