It seems to me that there are some excellent points made by Vladimir Moss here. However, I would like to take it further than he does. That is that, while there are certainly unelected and powerful shadowy forces at work behind the visible organs of government, they are disunited outwardly--yes, but not entirely. They are united by what he finished his article stating: the spirit of antichrist is present among them all, using them against each other and together against the Church. What also is bringing these secret rulers into positions of advantage and the power to destroy what good remains of the Church and humanity is our sins. In the first and last authorised biography about A. Solzhenitsyn, (I quote from memory here so this is a paraphrase and -- sorry Moderators -- no references for this as I do not have one) he said he remembered how, when he was a boy, all the older adult Orthodox around him would lament constantly, "This has happened to us because of our sins!" (referring to the rise of the atheists and the extermination of all things Orthodox Christian). The adult Christians around him were not saying, "It is those wretched Jews! The blasted Zionists!" Not even, "Those godless atheists!" No, they simply lamented that this was their own fault, their own responsibility. They rightly felt and knew that when looking for the cause and reason for such terrible horrors they need look no further than themselves: the Orthodox Christians of Russia. Hence, it is our sins--the sins of all men, but moreover of Christians, especially Orthodox Christians--that allow this sort of global evil to coalesce. But there is one more thing that can be stated on this line.
The second thing that brings about this unity of evil on a global scale, directing the conflicting governments and chaotic events towards a singular end, is that there is a mastermind, a single mind bent on one thing, one evil, horrible thing that it lusts and craves for, and that is satan himself. That this is the case is something believed to be true by all Christians by whatever denominational persuasion. So, I needn't argue the point. I only want to say that this is why it is easy to be tricked into thinking that everything seems too much beyond coincidence to be merely accidental. That there must be a secret power making the real decisions is, in fact, true and we need not search further than that satan is that one. Does he have many men in his power through whom he is able to act? I do not doubt it. But it need not be necessary to go so far as to argue that they are all consciously and knowingly meeting or coordinating to do such things. Satan is the only connection they need to be working together to achieve common satanic, evil ends.
