Here is the sienna drawing. Basic bust icons for the most part (not always) are just the figure only. Next step it the gold leaf, which will be in the halo only.

Here is the image finalized before painting. The gold leaf has been applied to the halo and burnished to get that "Sinai" look. More to come soon...

Sadly, no. I have been so busy working on a few other icon deadlines that I only got about one more step ahead of the last picture of St. Xenia. I will be working on her soon, God willing.

First layers. There will be adjustments later. As I paint I see things I want to adjust. The color changes the shape and size of things, giving a clearer view of what might be off a bit in the drawing.
