TSA is totally insane! Read this article and see how insensitive an unbalanced these minimum wage idiots with badges and their superiors are. In Canada, at least, putting even just one finger on the shoulder of someone who has made it clear the touch is unwanted constitutes physical assault. Well, the TSA in the USA goes way beyond that here.
TSA Single Out and Assault 3 Year Old in Wheelchair

They are BARBARIC, the "Tsa". Note, the first 3 letters of the title, Tsar.
I wonder if some Soviet emigre thought this up as a way to mock the Monarchy of Russia...
No one complains ; people just put up with this.
I have not flown a single time since they stepped up their disgusting machine-viewing.
I refuse.

I wouldn't be surprised if being paid minimum wage is a reason they take their resentment out on the passengers. This is extreme, however.
In fairness, though, I have generally been treated with courtesy by the agents. The screening does seem burdensome, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot has to do with appearing fair and avoiding "profiling". The result is absurdities like these, where I imagine the wheelchair was chosen simply on the basis of some dumb computer algorithm.
In less PC-throttled countries, like Israel, the authorities know perfectly well where the threats come from. If you're an Arab, you get raked over the coals; if you're Jewish, they don't even bother questioning for the most part (at least according to the book "Holy Land, Unholy War" by Anton LaGuardia).

Yes, reasonable points. I guess we need to remember that TSA are people too, and not out to get us as it were.
