Demission of Gabriel (de Vylder) de "Comana" and retirement on raisons of health. This is the so called "Parisian Orthodox Church", rue Daru, "Ecumenical Patriarchate", Russian tradition, ride forward in ecumenism with the "Parisian School St-Serge" (Boulgakov, Kartachev, Olivier Clément, Eudokimov, Wagner, Kern, Andronikoff etc.). New and Old Calendar together. In the Sobor (upper church): the Old Calendar, in the Crypte in French language the New Calender !

Yes, the Archbishop is fighting against a cancer, with metastasis in the brain. His message announcing his retirement looks like more a farewell message... The status of this jurisdiction inherited from the 1917 Russian council will lead to the appointment of a Locum tenens by Bartholomew II and then an election of the bishop by the laymen and confirmation of such election by Constantinople... Actually, the big question there is the fight between Constantinople and Moscow, with some members advocating for going back to Moscow...

Only the prayers of the True Orthodox Christians can this banned "bishop" bring to the true Orthodox faith before he is dying. MP and the so called "Ecumenical Patriarchate" are graceless parasynagogues. After both are coming to divide the booty.
Re: Demission of Gabriel (de Vylder) of "Comana" Paris
This is news ! I am surprised.
From this Archbishop Gabriel of Comana's last name, he must be Flemish or Belgian ? All I remember is that he was a
Benedictine monk who converted to - I guess - the EP ?
Has he already stepped down, or is he announcing it ?
It's sad to hear about anybody having a terrible ordeal like that.
However, i dislike immensely when people ALWAYS use that "he / she waged a battle against _____".
Why did they wage a battle ?! The language sounds contrived. As though to paint the sufferer with a halo around his head already,
when no one knows whether ANY ONE was good or bad or indifferent.
It seems "battling" should be ONLY used for "battling the Devil's attack".
But the phrase is so common today as to be hackneyed.
Anyway, it's too bad about this prelate.

Unfortunately Gabriel de Vylder, a Flemish Belgian, was a great ecumenist of the so called "Parisian School" of St-Serge with his Cathedral at rue Daru, Paris. This "Archbishopric of Russian Tradition" was till 1930 under the omophore of the "Ecumenical Patriarchate" and also in communion with the fallen "World Orthodoxy". Unfortuantely !

I hope this group does not join the MP but goes to a TOC jurisdiction.

There is no probability in this... Ecumenism is a real religion for them. The most probable is that some parishes will join the Moscow Patriarchate as many have already done, others will stay in this exarchate with the Ecumenical Patriarchate... At long term, it is not impossible the exarchate will be totally swallowed in the EP diocese of France.
