I was scandalized to read about the homosexually married ROCOR Bishop. I honestly don't think devoting time to all this hypocritical nonsense is worthwhile. Who cares ROCOR split? What is ROCOR? There was Orthodoxy before it. There is Orthodoxy now after it.

"The spouse of Christ cannot be adulterous, she is uncorrupted and pure, She knows one home; she guards with chaste modesty the sanctity of one couch. She keeps us for God. She appoints the sons whom she has born for the Kingdom. Whoever is separated from the Church and is joined to an adulteress is separated from the promises of the Church; nor can he who forsakes the Church of Christ attain to the rewards of Christ."

Re: ROCOR - ROCOR-MP split
Are you talking about "bp Varnava" ? Was he mentioned here in this document?
it's hard to access for me so I took notes when I went to the library a few times and read it - agog.
Have some comments,
but meanwhile, you don't understand !
ROCOR IS SPECIAL !
WAS SPECIAL
Nothing can exactly replace it : but the Toc's are doing their best.

Re: ROCOR - ROCOR-MP split
Not special for me. That might be the man's name. I am not sure - the story was so distasteful it me ill to think about it. Didn't really look at the document. So I think I will say it again even IF ROCOR was "special", there is no more ROCOR. They disavow themselves. But there was Orthodoxy before them, during their existence and now. To me that is more important. I just want people to not invest so much emotion into people who traffic in betraying it. You deserve better. Christ offers it to you in His Church.
