I am SURE it must be VERY VERY Painful for Fr Siluan. He is doing a great job, even being able to
concentrate to post here !

We appreciate that, Father !

As for Bp Stefan : YES he was divorced. I believe I remember him telling me this back before
the dreadful split off of Rocor from its mission and destiny, leaving all these poor "fragments"
to regroup and organize in befuddlement, for it all happened pretty quickly, though planned
for a long time behind the scenes.

This was back in maybe 2003 or so. He was explaining the meaning of the
sepulchre of St John Maximovitch which he himself had carved - MAGNIFICENTLY !

He was considering to become the priest at St Tikhon's, the parish which housed
St John's former orphanage. He told me a couple interesting stories, too, about St John
and his prophecy to then-Fr. Stefan.

He was understandably quite upset about that divorce or separation. It may not have been
legally done, but the wife took off - probably had severe mental problems.

Like the other one, the wife of the subdeacon who was so excited to start an RTOC parish
if he were ordained. Hee hee, he planned it to be a direct challenge to a major MP-Rocor
operation !

I wish there could be Economia applied in these rare situations where the wife gets some
mania attack and is not normal.

Fearfully, this emotionally disturbed behavior happens here in America right and left, too, in this day and age.
It's due to the heavy
number of demons possessing or influencing even Churchgoers.

This occurred also to the present Bishop Andrei of ROAC. Then the wife stalks them and tries to defame the
husband who's trying to fight for the sake of a TOC.
It's OBVIOUSLY the devil working through the unbalanced mind of an unstable wife.

This is the 4th time I tried to post this - I guess the devil is agitated after
his tactics are being exposed here !

Actually, I think it depends on the cause of the divorce. If there is an adultery from the lady, the lonly way for the priest to remain a priest is to divorce and separate from the lady, it is the same for a deacon...I don't know the particular situation of this bishop.

Is it not the case that as long as neither of the divorced spouses remarries they are both free to pursue a monastic life and in the case of the men, even to become a bishop?

Thank you, dear in Christ, Barbara, for correcting me about Bp. Stefan and for you kindness in all!

Yes, of course, if wife herself leaves clergyman without any good reason, he is not guilty at all.

I remember that this same also was the late Bp. Alexander (Mileant)'s case...

Yes, that makes sense, if one party is innocent then they should not be punished for another's sin.

You are welcome, Fr Siluan !
Please let us know if you are feeling all right and recovering !
It is one of the few places on the internet to find a genuine sympathy !

Oh I see, that is a wise policy.

People go crazy these days too much, especially women with all the propaganda about
"feminism" and that they need to be "liberated" and go have an affair, [like I hear that
Bp Alexander's wife did, with a Soviet, at that ! Shocking and in terrible taste].

Maybe this subdeacon can be made a priest after all.

He was so enthusiastic about starting a parish, and knew to which Saint he would dedicate it .

Surely this zeal for our True Orthodoxy should not be left to moulder...?
