In relation to another contribution I understood we might hate the sin but not the sinner. Fornication, defilement of the marriage bed and pornography are grave sins but as with homosexuality there is a movement to get these accepted as 'normal' or an acceptable life style choice. And there is support for such 'enlightened' views among Christians! How are the young to learn in the midst of such misinformation?

That is correct Stephen. How terrible. I can remember when I was a young teen in the early 80s and how zealous and conservative the Baptist church I went to was. And how morality, modesty, and tradition governed tastes in everything. No dancing, no playing cards, no movies, no Rock n Roll, no TV. All these things were absolutely shunned. Even a girl going on a date un-shaperoned was viewed almost as lewd as fornication itself in the 1950s. Now, evangelicals, charismatics, "bible-believing" churches have no problem with mixed bathing, bikinis, coarse joking, seeing x-rated movies, and all the rest. There is no moral voice any more among the heterodox churches as there were up until the late 1980s. The fall of Jimmy Baker and Jimmy Swaggart put an end to that.

I looked at Catholic.org yesterday. The banner headline was "Christians MUST ENGAGE WITH THE WORLD"
I BLANCHED !!!

This is from mainstream Vatican II catholicism. Almost doesn't deserve a capital "C" -
especially with THAT plus all sorts of other lies being foisted on unsuspecting people.

Almost no catholic even knows what a MONK IS anymore !

It's pathetic.

They are so involved in compromising with evil they have no time to study Church history or about
asceticism or any spiritual approach whatsoever.

The Baptists think homosexuals are fine - most don't care anymore.

Yes, indeed the world is being swept away and along with it the various sects and denominations that until recently, despite their errors, had held to good solid Orthodox morality for the most part. Now all that is gone. The devil and demons sit on church councils, preach through enslaved pastors at pulpits, and lead "worship services" with shouting hallelujah! and even barking like dogs as in the "Airport Vineyard" church in Toronto "Revival". It is scary because many people are convinced that what they are experiencing is of God the Holy Spirit when in fact it is truly, truly of the devil. "If your light be darkness, how great is that darkness!"
