Look what HOCNA has done now ...

They have upset the wild turkeys in Brookline.

BROOKLINE (CBS) – Neighbors are on the offensive in Brookline after what some residents are describing as aggressive turkeys.

I have seen turkeys put to flight by a cockerel while staying on my cousin's farm. So all we now need is some creatively minded soul to turn this symbolism into either something meaningful or just plain funny.

I can't believe people's best solution to these aggressive little tykes is to move to the other side of the street and avoid them. They allow themselves to be bullied by these birds??!! Get a gun man! Pellet handguns are legal. Or use a baseball bat and take one home for dinner. Get a backbone!

Funny ! ^

I have to say, though, I dislike this new system that we have to write just the beginning and provide a link
for those who want to read the full article.
I don't see why when the source is cited, the entire article cannot be published here.

If copyrights were infringed by this, then 99 % of websites would be violating those.

Can't we have some slack here?

I think it is because the sites make money off of the relationship between their advertisers and the number of hits they get of visitors to their site. So if we don't convey readers to their site they don't get paid, and honestly websites are not cheap to run anymore. So, I think the policy of Euphrosynos Cafe is good...besides which it means we never get shut down by claims of copyright infringement (valid or otherwise) which would cost the site money to fight. Just better to avoid any question of propriety and legal rights.

I don't understand why there are turkeys running free. What's up with that? Cage the birds and be done with it.

In West Quebec and Eastern Ontario, the government is trying to repopulate the countryside with wild turkeys, which used to be a part of the natural wildlife in North America, perhaps the Boston area also has the same programme of repopulation. Anyway, the area where I live has a ban of hunting them for the first stage of repopulation then they will open the fall season up for hunting like other animals.
