Do you have the history concerning this church building? It looks like it was repaired and painted recently as the brick arches show signs of damage.

Was this feast day held during Pentecost? Is that why there is grass all over the church floor?

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

Dear in Christ, Maria, this building church is new, and it is being built by the RTOC community in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia. And, of course, it is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and these pictures were taken on its Patronal Feast on Pentecost. I think it is the only True Orthodox community in Vladikavkaz.

Thanks Father. I have been told that people in Slavic countries decorate their churches on the Feast of Pentecost so that it looks like a forest inside, but I do not think that Greek churches have that custom.

Yes, the walls look new. It is a beautiful church.
Here in the USA, used bricks (or bricks made to look used) are often used in new construction.
Believe it or not, those used bricks are more expensive, as they give a sense of antiquity to a building.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
