Two New Bishops Join American Eparchial Synod

That is that no union between HOCNA and the Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece occurs.

While this was not a union of GOC-Kallinikos and HOCNA, intercommunion between GOC-Kallinikos and HOCNA has been accepted now for years. With two HOCNA bishops leaving to join the Synod of GOC-Kallinikos, it will be interesting to see whether this intercommunion will still be permitted between GOC-Kallinkos and what remains of HOCNA. It will also be interesting to see what effect this action will have on HOCNA and the Metropolis of Portland. Will all who are in the Metropolis of Portland stay with Met Moses, or will some remain with HOCNA? Will some in other HOCNA dioceses elect to join GOC-Kallinikos, following the lead of Met Moses and Bishop Sergios? Will HOCNA attempt to consecrate other bishops to replace the two that have departed? There is much that remains to be seen.
