Another Russian group

BTW a question for Fr. Mark Templet, since he's in ROAC and has access to sources in Russia... just who is this Metropolitan Rafael that Milan-America is in communion with now? I know of the various ROCOR split-offs, but this one is new to me.

Any information?

Never heard of them. They must not be very numerous. I don't know anything about them.

This group is not a real Catacomb Group, they come from UAOC. Rafael Prokopiev, their leader is a former official of the Red Army. Here (in Russian) you could know more about them.

Fr. Siluan,

Could you direct met to some 'third' party documents? Ones that are not from any specific group, but, from an exterior party?

I'm referencing more the accusation of 'occult' beliefs or something to that effect, as reflected on the accusations on the RTOC site. I know about all the consecrations and reconsecrations that took place in the aftermath of the dissolution of the Ukrainian patriarchate under Philaret.

Blagoslovite: Forgive me for asking but aren't some of their bishops originally from the Seraphimo-Gennadites? They aren't UAOC, and they are indisputably a Catacomb Church, except that Abp Lazar of Tambov demanded their reconsecration at his hands.
