You sure about that?

From the website of the Milan Synod, http://www.ihtis.wordpress.com :
Tutto sta nel desiderio unanime del Sinodo di Milano ( sacerdoti, fedeli e Vescovi ) presenti in Europa di metterci sotto l’obbedienza di Sua Santità Kirill Patriarca di Mosca. Confermiamo il nostro desiderio e aspettiamo le decisioni ufficiali di Mosca.
Everyone stands in the unanimous desire of the Synod of Milan (clergymen, faithful and Bishops) present in Europe to put under obedience of His Holiness Kyrill, Patriarch of Moscow. We confirm our desire and we wait for the official decisions of Moscow.

Sure thing. BTW I saw this Press Release on the website for the Spanish Diocese of the Milan Synod, at
http://orientalhispana.webs.com/noticias.htm (scroll down):
PRESS NOTE
On the occasion of the Week of Prayer for the Unity of Christians, the Orthodox Church of San Serafín de Sarov (Street Dr. Relimpio 2, Osario Door), will celebrate next Thursday the 20th day of January of 2011, an ecumenical celebration, at 8 in the evening to which they are invited to participate people of all the Christian confessions. The Community of Taizé will collaborate in this act that has been the one who has organized the events of also the call “Octavario for the Unity of Christians”.
This minds me very much of the Catholic-Orthodox ecumenical service (which was not an Orthodox liturgical service of any sort) that my fiancee and I attended at the GOA Cathedral in Atlanta where Met. Kallistos Ware spoke... both the GOA and the Milan Synod are on the same page.

It is a good thing that the Milan Synod has broken communion (during our investigation of several events in Europe), that way it saves us time. Now our Sister Synods are just us in America, as well as Bulgaria, Greece, and Russia, and any people we can fish out of the water in Western Europe.
As for the workings of Spain, since we're not in communion with them, and if they are going to continue this nonesense, then they probably belong with the World Orthodox; now it's just a fight between two pro-World Orthodox groups in the Milan Synod fighting over what they're going to do, and how they're going to do it.

Of course, I note that this was posted to the website of the Spanish diocese back in January, and Milan-America didn't seem particularly motivated to do anything about it at the time. (I'm just thinking again of Fr. Mark Templet's emphasis on "immediacy".)

Okay costaswright, I dare you... I double dare you... I double-dog dare you to respond the following facts about your "canonical" Orthodox Church.
The Holy Canons clearly state that there cannot be more than one "canonical" bishop in a given city. Your World Orthodox violate this constantly. Why? This is not canonical.
The Holy Canons forbid any Orthodox Christian from entering the buildings and praying with Jews or heretics. There are mountains of evidence that this occurs regularly among the World Orthodox clergy and laity, I have seen it with my own eyes being done by the EP himself. You are members of the WCC, read their constitution http://www.oikoumene.org/en/who-are-we/ ... rules.html for membership in their website and tell me that this is not a violation of this canon with a straight face.
This is just two off the top of my head, there are others, but I know that you won't deal with them. They disprove the myth of your "canonical" status on their face. Oh, I know you could give some long-winded wishy-washy claptrap about why all of this occurs and that we really don't understand things. But deep down you know darn good and well that you are not only violating the canons outright, but that you hierarchs are violating the spirit of them as well. You know that you are seeing innovation after innovation creep into your church slowly but steadily.
You like to come on this board and make pot-shots at us, like we asked you opinion of all this in the first place. You think you're on the winning side because you have the majority. Guess what, all those saints you have icons of on your walls-- they were on the old calendar and they had nothing to do with ecumenism.
So go ahead and launch into your smart-aleck response, which we all know will not answer my questions.
Fr. Mark Templet
