WHO IS HIEROMONK AMBROSE?

This evening I have been studying the acrimonious debate here at the St. Euphrosynos Cafe about a letter attributed to a hierarch of the Milan Synod. Obviously, many of the people discussing these issues know about the alleged letter, and about each other, (apparently for many years) but it is difficult for me to make sense of the discussion and its historical context.

 Who is our new St. Euphrosynos Cafe member, Hieromonk Ambrose?  What is Hieromonk Ambrose's church affiliation?  It is not evident from his St. Euphrosynos signature.  And who is his colleague, Father Aidan?  Are these clerics from the Moscow Patriarchate?  Jordanville?

  I ask this not from mere idle curiosity, nor to judge, but to place their comments in a meaningful ecclesiogical context.

Hieromonk Ambrose (Mooney) is a ROCOR-MP priest who came from the Serbian Patriarchate a few years before the union and heavily agitated for the union with the Moscow Patriarchate on online lists.

Hiermonk Aidan (Keller) is a ROCOR-MP priest who left the Milan Synod acrimoniously in 2005 and was received by chierothesia in 2008.

I am puzzled as to why such apologists for the abominable Sergianists would suddenly appear at the St. Euphrosynos Cafe today to lecture to traditionalists about a putative heresy.

My hunch is that they need to remove their own camels before straining at another's gnats.
