No Angela I didn't have to buy it, it came with my digital camera. But you can download it free from the web. In fact there are a variety of free programs that you can get to work with pictures. Here is one site to get free downloads of programs http://www.freedownloadsplace.com/Windo ... /643-6.htm
The Kodak Easyshare program is listed on the web page I posted above.

There are plenty of free programs on that site. You can read about features which each program has to offer. Or if you have a digital camera it should have come with a picture program for you to upload your photos from your camera. And if so, then you might want to see if it has such a feature that can convert your pictures for you.

So all you need to do is download the program to your computer. Then find your picture and pull it up in the program and edit it with effects feature, save it as a new file and it's ready to print. A good tip is to always save your file somewhere where you can easily find it. I save mine in My Documents folder and then move it to where I want to keep it whether on my computer or a computer disk.

There are more complicated programs for graphics, but that one is pretty basic. I am currently working with one of the more complicated programs to try and make patches with icon/church pics for the children to be given as recognition for their participation in catechism classes (kinda like scouting groups do). My priest, Fr Mark Templet who also makes vestments, has a sewing machine that can embroidery picture designs using picture files from the computer. In the past when I worked with youth I found that they really enjoy being recognized for their hard work so I thought it would be a good idea to do something for them.

Good luck, and if you need any help just give me a shout here. :) I am going to check out the womens forum here as I was just given access.

OK Angela, here is the finished graphic to make the patch from (my work). I'll take a picture of the sewn embroider patch when my priest, Fr Mark Templet, gets it done on his machine (his work). I'm hoping it comes out good. Can't wait to see the finished product myself. :)

That one had to many colors for the sewing machine Angela. I've submitted an alternate for my priest to try. He also came up with one. I'm letting him decide which one to use. Here is the new last one I submitted.
