Metropolitan Philaret of the ROCOR to be Glorified a Saint this weekend in New York
(NFTU) The ROCOR-PSCA will officially glorify Metropolitan Philaret (Voznesenky) of New York as a Saint this year in two Churches in New York after the fifth All-Diaspora Sobor. Since many have been searching for it, the schedule is as follows:

Friday, Nov. 21. 6 PM. Final Panakhida in honor of Metropolitan Philaret, St. Sergius Russian Orthodox Church. V. Rev. Gregory Kotliaroff. c/o Tolstoy Farm, Lake Rd., Valley Cottage, NY 10989.

Saturday, Nov 22. 6 PM. Vigil and Canonization Service of Metropolitan Philaret, Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 2536 37th St., New York, NY 11103, USA.

Sunday, Nov 23. 9:30 AM. Holy Liturgy at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, same as above.

Sunday, Nov 23. 2 PM. Banquet in Honor of Metropolitan Philaret. By reservation, Ricardo's Banquet and Catering Hall, Astoria, NY.

The ROCOR-PSCA (PSCA- Provisional Supreme Church Authority) comprised up to 1/3 (reports vary on size) of the Church Abroad which formally broke communion with Metropolitan Laurus at the time of the signing of the union with the Moscow Patriarchate. As of yesterday, they elected Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa to be their First-Hierarch.
