Bishop Diomid has been deposed today unless he repents... The information is available in Russian here.

I've been following these events online, from both Orthodox and Ecumenist sources. Special thanks are due to Joseph Suaiden for all the coverage he is giving this on NFTU. In addition to the irony that Joseph has pointed out on his site; namely that Bishops like Nicholae Corneanu of Banat of the Romanian Church can commune with uniates, and no actions are taken to depose him, but when a Bishop such as Diomid opposes the Pan-Heresy of Ecumenism he is unanimously condemned and deposed by the MP - it is doubly ironic that although ROCOR assured it's faithful that it would "continue to oppose Ecumenism," that not one of them attempted to defend Vl. Diomid, although they were all present at the Sobor. It's just one more lie to stack on top of all the others we've been fed over the last 20 years! What a sad, corrupt, and shameless assembly of heresiarchs!

Excellent point. Confucius said, "Observe a man's actions. Scrutinize his motives. How, then, can he hide from what he really is?" Disinformazia aside, it is quite clear from observing the actions of the MP that it is primarily concerned with establishing and enlarging its own political and economic hegemony, rather than in observing and upholding the sacred traditions and canons of the Church. As for the ROCOR-MP hierarchs, like Metropolitan Sergius, they have been primarily interested in saving their own skins--justifying their self- contradictory actions vis a vis ecumenism and the All Diaspora Conference through a misguided appeal to modern Russian nationalism-- a form of sinful ethnic pride. I admire the courage and honesty of the dissenting MP clergy on this issue.

Of course! They can't help but have a schism. It wouldn't be Orthodoxy if they didn't have a schism.
