Can a Deacan give Holy Communion

I Wanted to ask a question, since there many priests in this forum.
My question is Can a Deacon give the Holy Communion? It is my understanding that a Deacon cannot give the Holy Communion. But I do want to confirm it. I recently attended an orthodox church where the Deacon and along with other priests was giving the Holy Communion.
