Prayer for Converson

Post by Martha »

I am a convert to Orthodoxy and was baptized just two years ago, so I don't know if the prayer that I pray for family and friends is appropriate or not, but I pray the following prayer and then name particular family/friends individually. I hope this may be helpful.

Lord, have mercy and save my family and friends. Give them blessings now and salvation in the life to come. Deliver them from all heresy, enlighten them with the Light of Your Truth and unite them with the Holy Orthodox Church.

Pray for me, a sinner,
Martha

Martha,

That is an absolutely beautiful prayer. It says it all.

May God bless you in your struggles.

In Christ, Joanna

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

I want to clarify that this prayer is not original. I put together the thoughts from other prayers and from a friend who prays fervently for the conversion of her young adult son. Please forgive me if I gave the wrong impression.

Pray for me a sinner,
Martha

Martha,

The prayer is still beautiful. It's from the heart.

There is no wrong impression.

In Christ,

Joanna
