Stuff gets stolen. God let it happen for a specific reason.

What should be considered is why did God allow this to happen to you? And there are many people that have suffered to the extreme level of survival of life.

Let it go. It's gone. But, the importance is the lesson that God wants you to learn. What is that lesson?

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

Love that thief and offer him anything else he might need.

He needs a bike?

Obviously he did or he wouldn't have stolen it.

Nonsense. He WANTED it - he didn't NEED it. Anywhere that you can ride a bike to, you can WALK to.

How do you know he didn't need it? Did he tell you this personally? You don't need it either. You WANT it. Perhaps God took it from you because you made it an idol. How old are you? Have you ever read a book called the New Testament? I suggest you read it because you don't seem to have a proper understanding on the nature of forgiveness and love.

It was not Tom's bike.

There is more to Christianity then liturgy and the potluck meals. The Christian life must extend to every aspect of our lives. I'm starting to think of Orthodoxy as "Potluck Christianity."

Whenever in a doubtful situation, think of what Christ would do. He never retaliated against anyone. We have to develop what I call "Christ Consciousness." There does not seem to be any transformative power within contemporary Orthodoxy. I'm starting to think most (if not all) the ancient accounts of the saints are myths. Myths and legends tend to develop over time. Because man destroys everything he touches. And man always has to add something to everything.

Being baptized does not make one a Christian. The heart must repent and be transformed. The individual heart must be born again. This is a conscious decision each person has to make.

Christ must take-up residence in the mind and heart. When we seek retaliation for evils done to us, it shows we have never really had the born again experience. It shows our minds have not yet been renewed.
