Another Cherotenia of a new ROCOR Bishop for USA.

Hieromonje Stefan (Sabelnik) - former Protopresbiero Stefan Sabelnik - was consecrated as Bishop of Trenton and North America for the ROCOR "faction" under the omophor of RTOC ("Lazarites"). His consagrants were Archbishop Tikhon of Omsk and Siberia (First Hierarch of RTOC), and Bishop Germogen of Chernigov and Gomel. This consecration was carried out in the Cathedral of Saint John of Kronstadt in the Odessa Region.

So, you now have Bishop Stefan of Trenton and North America (RTOC), Bishop Andronik of Richmond and New York (ROCOR-PSCA), Bishop Andrei of Pavlovskoye (ROAC), and Bishop Vladimir of San Francisco (ROCiE), all claiming to be the legitimate continuing ROCOR to the exlusion of all others. Given the relatively small number of anti-MP Russian congregations in the U.S., isn't this a bit much?

Yes, it is truly a pity that the various dissenting factions within the traditional Russian Orthodox Church--RTOC, ROAC, ROCIE, and ROCOR-Agafangel-- cannot unite into a single synod. Surely there must be a way for them to resolve their administrative and ecclesiological differences. It is difficult for me to understand where they all differ, but they all seem to share a common Orthodox heritage, theoria, praxis, and conviction that the Sergianist Soviet Church (and the MP-ROCOR) is not canonical.

I'm new to this and just learning.

It appears to me that the dividing factor between the Traditional Churches and ROCOR-PSCA is that ROCOR-PSCA won't say that the new calendar churches do not have grace.

Why the Traditional Churches are not in communion with each other should be an indication to them that something is not right here.

I see this is the "SUPER CORRECT" disease that Fr. Seraphim Rose wrote about.

I think that the whole matter is much more complicated. And I think that ROCOR-PSCA who separates of and didn't want to be in communion with the other "parts" of the Russian TOCs but on the other hand they went for the Kyprianites for its consecrations.

It seems, here those that think that they are "Super Correct" are ROCOR-PSCA when rejecting to their three "sisters" Russian TOC jurisdictions (ROCOR-V, RTOC and ROAC) for the Kyprianites, and when doing so they also rejected the true Old Calendarist of Greece (20% of the Christians in Greece) for the Kyprianites (an insignificant group created by Met Kyprianos which nothing has to do with the historical and true GOC - as much as for its origin as for its ecclesiology -).

And this matter is not one thing without importance, because to join with the Kyprianites is also to take their innovative ecclesiology which is a modern creation of Met. Kyprianos and one thing completely strange to the Church´s teachings.

So where do you Chris, Pravo and Joanna belong to? What jurisdiction?

Are you experts in the issue? I've talked to Archbishop Tikhon, in person, face to face...have you?

But, of course, you are the experts about the RTOC because you live in it and have talked with Arbp. Tikhon many times.
