Bolshevism was the Evil Ones' second greatest invention, after Mohammedism. The Bolsheviks were avowed atheists, determined to eradicate the Russian Orthodox Church, and to infiltrate and use the outward forms of the Church to serve the ends of the Godless Soviet state.

Mohammedism is just an imitation of Judaism (i.e. Phariseeism). Judaism is the Mother of Harlotry and Abominations of the Earth. Arianism, Sabellianism, Eunomianism, Apollinarianism, Manichaeanism, Marcionism, Nestorianism, Mohammedism, Iconoclasm, etc. are all Judaic heresies.

"All heretics are one with the Jews in blasphemies" (St. Jerome)

The Bolsheviks were decidedly Jewish, not atheist. Although since Jews in a sense are atheists, it is not altogether incorrect to call the Bolsheviks atheists -- Jewish atheists.

Bishop Nicholai Velimirovic: Addresses to the Serbian People-Through the Prison Window

"Europe is presently the main battlefield of the Jew and his father, the devil, against the heavenly Father and his only begotten Son… [Jews] first need to become legally equal with Christians in order to repress Christianity next, turn Christians into atheist, and step on their necks. All the modern European slogans have been made up by Jews, the crucifiers of Christ: democracy, strikes, socialism, atheism, tolerance of all religions, pacifism, universal revolution, capitalism and communism… All this has been done with the intention to eliminate Christ… You should think about this, my Serbian brethren, and correspondingly correct your thoughts, desires and acts."

The Council of Toledo in 589 was a local council, which did not have universal significance for the Roman Patriarchate since it expressed a teaching foreign to the Teachings of the Fathers, and one in direct violation of the Second Ecumenical Council, in which the Creed was set in stone, never to be altered. In light of this the Council of Toledo was nothing more than a robber's council, on a par with that convened by Dioscorus of Alexandria when he deposed St. Leo of Rome. The Filioque heresy did not begin to infect the Roman Patriarchate until the eighth century, when the Carolingian contagion turned Roman Orthodoxy into Frankish heresy.

We must also take into consideration that the heretic Pope Nicholas (a Frank) who was the first to introduce the addition of the Filioque clause into the Creed in Rome, caused St. Photios the Great to break Communion with him (this is referred to as "The Photian Schism" by the papists). Canonical communion was not restored until an Orthodox Pope sat upon the patriarchal throne again.

After the fall of the western half of the Roman Empire to Northern barbarians, the Roman Patriarchate underwent a period of isolation from the rest of the Orthodox world. Had there been modern transit, mass communication and instant sharing of information, the Frankish and Augustinian heresies would have come to a head long before 1054.

Babylonian Captivity and Communist Yoke

This all makes sense. The Church is worldwide. So Satan's war against the Church is also worldwide. And we all know how boring he is always reusing the same old tactics.

I think I see why MP is trying to parallel Sergianism with Babylonian captivity. MP wants us to believe that Communism split the Church into two equally necessary parts. One part in exile where it could function in freedom. The other to keep the home fires burning, to function as best as it could in captivity. MP wants us to believe both parts produced martyrs, that most of the martyrs were produced in the captivity, and the much-suffering Met. Sergius was one of them. Now that Communism is over, the split is no longer necessary. So the part that went into exile may now return and hand over all the properties it acquired on behalf of MP.

But Met. Sergius and his Church can not be justified. This Church was not willing to die for the Truth. Compromise is not a cross. The Church in Exile carried with them the joy of serving the Truth. Amid all the sorrow and horror they were with God, and had that consoling joy. But what joy did Met. Segius have? He declared his joy: it was the same as Stalin's joy. This joy is to see the Church destroyed - which was the aim of Communism- which was a part of Satan's continuing war against the Church.

The Babylonian captivity was marked by sorrow that God had abandoned them ("there we sat down and wept when we remembered Sion"). God abandoned them for the purpose of allowing their hearts to grow in love for Him through their pining for him. In Met. Sergius' case, God had not abandoned him - he abandoned God.
