Former Cafe member turns to islam

Hi All,

It is with great sadness that I ask for your prayers. Not for myself, but for ChristosVoskrese. This passed Friday, on the Nativity Feast of the Theotokos, he converted to islam and he forced his girlfriend to convert too.

They were catechumens.

Let us all remember them in our prayers and ask God to have mercy and bring them back to Orthodoxy. If we unite our hearts for this goal then we can combat the evil one.

Apparently Scott's girlfriend however has returned to Orthodoxy, but let us still please pray for her situation as she is still in a relationship with him.

She can only return if she is baptised. This is the step she must take now.

I saw the threads and posts over at TAW on this, but did not see anything there about his fiancee. Is there any further news on this since he doesn't/can't post there now (I'm not sure which)?

dear friends....
im very sorry hearing the news about our brother...
but i have to say that i feel my self a bit responsible about what happened...
because our lives doesn't show the life of Christ to the world...
even in this beautiful cafe anyone can see divisions,anger and hate sometimes....
during 400 years of turkish occupation in Greece there were many people who converted to Islam just to have a better life in this world...
but there were a few of them who turned back to the Holy Church and became new martyrs....
